April Swap for Butterfly Kisses With Love

This is my tag for the April swap for the Butterfly Kisses with Love Tag Swap. The theme was Roses and Fabric.  I used a cameo spellbinder die and a mega nestabilities curved rectangle die to make the tag.

Papers used were from the K & Co Life's Journey Line and Strathmore's Acrylic Watercolor Line Acrylic 246lb heavyweight paper which I always like to make my tags out of.

I used Amoco Art Emboss Mid weight Copper and Gold metal to make the Embossed frames around the cameos which I chalked in Pebbles  Pearlescent chalks. I used a fixative to set the chalk then sprayed Pearl Glimmer Mist over the cameo for some sparkle.

I used Iridescent Gold glimmer mist on the rose paper just under the cameo, and on the pink glimmer paper I used an Impressibility's Floral embossing die to emboss it.  The white watercolor paper was glimmer misted with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer mist and to finish the tag off I added lots of long bead trim to the bottom and top as well as ribbon roses that I purchases at Hancock Fabric.  All dies and impressibility's were purchased from Stamps Alive. All papers were purchased from Michael's

Groups have been selected for the May's swap.  The groups are listed on the site under the discussion forum.

The Theme for May is Vintage Spring Floral.

This could cover many things. Think of Vintage looking floral paper. Gold embossed birdcages, flowers, anything that makes you think of a spring day and add a little Vintage in with it. Ribbons, lace, old buttons, the ideas are endless.

ATC Swap at Sir Stamps A Lot

I have joined an ATC swap at my Local Scrapbook Store, Sir Stamps A Lot, and I am having such a good time. We swap cards on Saturday when we take our classes.  Here are a few of the ATC's I have made since I have started taking classed there. Lexie is my dog and she is an Imperial Shih Tzu and my baby.

February Tag Swap Vintage Valentine

The February Tag swap theme was Vintage Valentine.  I used an Anna Griffin background stamp and embossed with white Zing Embossing powder. Then, I used worn lipstick, fired brick and tattered rose distress ink to color the background. I used pop dots to raise an image of a vintage couple and tied misc. ribbons and lace through the tags eyelet. I used a garmet pin and attached a heart, key, and lock. I put red glass heart beaded fringe across the bottom and that was my card for the February swap.  Thank you Arlene (MyButterflyKisses) for hosting the swap.

Thank You Card

I needed some quick thank you cards for my daughters graduation gifts so I needed to make something quick and easy. I just layed some black and pink paper under an embossed white cuttlebug layer and embossed a thank you ribbon slide. It showed up much better in person.

Thank You Card made using Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder
and tag die cutting plate. I Highlighted the embossing with pink
shimmer I Kan- dee chalk.  (Sept. 2008)
